A Letter from the President

Dear Residents of the Fairport Perinton Area,

Our diverse membership is proud to live and or work in this fine community. Some of the businesses are young and just starting out. Others are well established, with names we all know, value and trust. All of them work hard to provide you with needed goods and services. Please search them out and patronize them all.

Our members have an appreciation for this community: it's past, it's present and certainly it's future. Another ideal we as members in the Chamber share is the desire to give something back to Perinton, the place that has been so good to us and to our families.

Each year The Perinton Chamber of Commerce celebrates community spirit by organizing the Fourth of July Firecracker Five Running Race, the Fourth of July Parade and the Party in the Park following the parade. Thousands of people from our community and the surrounding area converge on the village of Fairport for this all day celebration of American Independence.

The Chamber also recognizes those that are our community's unsung heroes. Each year the chamber solicits nominations for the award of Citizen Of The Year. In March, the Chamber sponsors an awards banquet where the community is invited to celebrate the winners and their accomplishments. This year the Chamber has added an award for Youth Citizen Of The Year.

Appreciation and giving back to the community - that is what the Perinton Chamber of Commerce is all about.
